Distel described examples of recent responses, including resolving issues with truck idling in a neighborhood by connecting the resident with the appropriate operator and finding an alternative. She said the organization reduced its budget requests as drilling activity dropped and that the $3,000 request matches recent years’ funding levels.
A commissioner asked staff to request Community Counts’ incident summary data; Distel agreed to provide historical incident and response reporting for the board’s review. The board approved the grant by motion and voice vote.
