Garfield County commissioners on Monday awarded a road-and-bridge department contract to Grand River Construction for 2025 asphalt paving projects and approved the motor pool’s request to sell four surplus vehicles via an online auction.
Procurement staff said two firms submitted bids for the asphalt project; Grand River Construction was the lowest responsive bidder. The board approved a contract award not to exceed $515,640.68 and authorized the chair to sign the agreement. Road-and-bridge staff provided the list of roads slated for work as part of the contract.
Separately, the county motor pool requested approval to auction four vehicles on the CDI auction site. Staff noted one vehicle listed earlier had been totaled and would not go to auction; the board approved auctioning the remaining four vehicles and asked staff to report back with sale proceeds.
Both actions passed by unanimous vote.
