On river flows, staff said the voluntary flow management program is in its spring fishery period. They reported reservoir imports and Bureau of Reclamation exchanges mean current flows are consistent with the program’s targets and that available reservoir content and partner imports support stable spring flows; they said smaller exchanges (about 50 cfs) are occurring and that flows will increase as runoff picks up.
Agency staff also reported that most temporary seasonal hires have started, with field training completed and operational assignments underway. They asked the county and outfitters to expect more staff in the field and noted outreach to outfitters and private boaters about current ramp and flow conditions.
