Councilmembers asked staff to collect a complete cost estimate (lights plus installation) before proceeding. Officials also suggested exploring reuse of existing poles to reduce replacement costs and told staff to bring the total project estimate back to council for a decision.
No formal appropriation or purchase was made at the meeting; staff said they will return with a total cost, including electrician installation estimates, and that benches were likely less costly and easier to procure than the light poles.
