She said enforcement is complaint‑driven, which in her case followed a neighborly dispute: law enforcement told her officers that the activity did not appear unreasonable, but the county issued a citation that is currently under appeal. Ieltz said neighbors told her they were unaware of the restriction and that weekend projects are often the only time residents have to work on property improvements.
She asked the board to review the ordinance and consider amending it; the board responded that staff would follow up and that the county attorney had discussed the question of how to pursue an amendment. No board action was taken at the meeting; staff said they would follow up and that the complainant is pursuing an appeal of the citation.
