The court also approved an interim COBRA administrative agreement with the Texas Association of Counties health pool effective May 1, 2025; the interim change includes a $150 one‑time enrollment charge during the transition and a later per‑participant fee to be included at renewal.
The court accepted a $50 donation to the sheriff’s reserve officer fund from Charles Hannigan and Catherine Andres and approved transfer of three wooden cabinets previously declared surplus by the sheriff’s office to the Precinct 3 commissioner’s office. The court approved a bid from Palestine Air and Heat LLC to supply and install a replacement combination heating/cooling unit at the county jail for $18,739.20 to be paid from permanent improvement capital outlay.
The court also declared two service vehicles (2002 and 2016 Chevrolet Impalas) surplus and available for auction.
