Snoqualmie confirms new community development director and two commission appointments

Snoqualmie — On May 12 the Snoqualmie City Council held a ceremonial oath-and-confirmation segment that included swearing in Mona Davis as Community Development/Economic Development Director and confirming two volunteer commission appointments.
Mayor Mary Ross administered the oath to Mona Davis, who had been appointed by the mayor and confirmed by council on April 30; Davis recited the oath to “faithfully and impartially perform the duties of my office as prescribed by law.”
Later in the meeting, the council confirmed Gary Skiba to fill a vacant position on the Economic Development Commission. Councilor Wotton moved to confirm and Councilor Christiansen seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Skiba spoke briefly to thank the council and said he looks forward to contributing; council materials state he has lived in the area 10 years and owns No Boat Brewing Company.
The council also confirmed Hadley Everts to the Parks and Events Commission by unanimous vote. Council materials note Everts has lived in Snoqualmie for about three years and works as a strategy manager for Starbucks. The meeting record indicates Everts was not present online to speak.
All confirmations were unanimous; no substantive policy debate accompanied the votes.
