She listed recent awards earned by local PTAs and by the council, including grant recipients for technology and digital‑safety initiatives and campus PTAs that achieved high participation and membership‑growth recognitions.
Murdock outlined advocacy work the council conducted in Austin on school funding, teacher pay and school safety; she said council leaders met with state representatives and attended PTA Rally Day. She also reviewed training, membership drives and events such as the council’s Founders Day and the Reflections arts program, noting participation that advanced to state and national levels.
The presentation was informational. Murdock asked the board and district staff to continue partnership and to support PTA outreach and training. Trustees thanked the council for its work and asked a few clarifying questions about awards and membership reporting.
