Tanya (Heritage Commission) reported the developer was willing to “partner with us to put in a trail and picnic area” so the community could visit remnants of a sizeable historic mill operation. The property was originally sold with a condition to make community access available, and commission members said the developer’s cooperation could allow the town to re‑open access after years when the site was not reachable on foot.
The commission described a two‑phase possibility for site access and noted the plan would help replace some historic landmarks that may be lost under a separate reconfiguration project referenced in the meeting.
