A motion to approve and authorize David to sign the contract was made and seconded, and the board approved the authorization by voice vote. The board noted some scope and schedule adjustments (including material changes and a reduced police detail) were part of the negotiated savings, but the contractor will complete the revised scope under the new contract amount.
The board also authorized related administrative steps — including any necessary road‑closure coordination tied to construction — and confirmed staff would execute the contract under the revised terms.
