Board appoints Dr. Wilson Turner as interim superintendent

The Shenendehowa Central School District Board of Education voted unanimously to appoint Dr. Wilson Turner as interim superintendent, effective July 1, following the departure of a board member and the end of the prior superintendent's term.

''Dr. Wilson Turner addressed the board and community, outlining her career and initial priorities. ''"I left the district I grew up in to shape the district my children, their friends, and our neighbors are growing up in," she said during brief remarks at the meeting.

In her remarks, Dr. Wilson Turner said she would present an entry plan at the July 8 board reorganization meeting to show "my intention objective to lead in a manner that is consistent with the with Chinedahoa's high expectations."
