The Troy Streets and Sidewalks Committee voted unanimously May 20 to move forward with a preliminary consent agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation for resurfacing Experiment Farm Road from State Route 41 to the city's northern corporate limit.
Committee Chair Bob Phillips said the committee voted to advance the agreement after staff presentation. "Move forward," said Missy Butera, assistant city engineer, when asked for her recommendation.
Missy Butera told the committee the project is estimated at $1,120,000 using 2025 pricing and that ODOT is expected to pay about 68 percent of the cost. Butera said Troy's estimated share is $414,157.6. The work is not anticipated until fiscal year 2028 (between July 2027 and June 2028), she said.
Committee members did not raise substantive questions about scope or timing at the meeting. Phillips noted the action is not an emergency and that the agreement follows ODOT's standard format.
No formal roll-call of votes was recorded beyond the chair's statement that the committee was unanimous in its decision to proceed as staff requested. The committee did not set additional conditions or direct further study during the meeting.
