MCPS unveils condensed 2026–2030 strategic plan scorecard; board asks for clearer measures and inclusion of special‑education outcomes

Montgomery County Public Schools presented a condensed version of its 2026–2030 strategic plan and an accountability ‘‘scorecard’’ to the strategic planning committee on May 13, 2025, outlining goals, objectives, performance metrics and reporting frequency ahead of a June 10 board adoption date.

Keisha Addison, director of shared accountability, walked the committee through the four focus areas — academic excellence, postsecondary preparation, climate and operations, and staff support — and described linked objectives and measures. Addison said the district will use the Maryland School Report Card and state assessments such as the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) along with local measures like DIBELS and district climate surveys to track progress.
