Councilmembers discussed whether proof of residency should be required; Mata confirmed the application will include an address and staff will verify city residency before acceptance.
The motion to approve Resolution 2225 with the background-check requirement removed carried unanimously. Staff said departments’ presentations and specific dates remain subject to change pending department head and facility availability.
