Perkins reappoints municipal judges, renews prosecutor contract and approves inspection and ambulance agreements

The Perkins City Commission reappointed municipal judges John E. Campbell Jr. and Sydney Wade Shaw and administered oaths of office. Both judges addressed the commission and confirmed they would continue serving in the municipal court roles.
The commission also renewed a one-year agreement with J. Trevor Hammons, PLLC, to serve as city prosecutor at a rate of $150 per hour with $75 per hour for travel time; the commission voted to approve the contract. Commissioners approved a separate one-year inspection-services agreement with Charlie Butler for plan review and inspections at a flat fee of $1,500 per month.
Other contracts approved included an updated agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 142 (noting only an effective-date change) and continuation of ambulance services under an agreement with Western Payne County Ambulance Trust Authority. All motions on these items passed by recorded votes.
