Board members asked about timing; Robinson and others said the policy adoption places the district “in line” with the law and with recent guidance from the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) that recommended districts adopt a policy to avoid potential compliance issues if implementation timelines shift. The board approved the Neola policy by voice vote; no roll-call opposition was recorded in the transcript.
The policy will be incorporated into district policy manuals and the district will follow its procedures for committees and determinations tied to Act 20 timelines.
