Human-resources staff summarized the personnel slate, noting the majority of hires were assistant coaches for fall and winter sports, one head bowling coach and one long-term substitute mentor for a geometry position. The board was told there remain a few open positions to fill.
The board approved a four-year appointment for the board secretary to run from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029, completing a multi-year cycle for that stipend; staff noted the appointee had been covering the final year of the previous term. The board grouped items 8.1through 8.3 into a single motion and approved them unanimously.
On instructional matters the board approved lists of advisors and co-curricular sponsors, the list of seniors eligible to graduate in June, and a set of revised curricula. Staff said most curriculum revisions were minor cleanups; five proposed new courses were removed from the packet to allow extra review and will be brought back in June for consideration.
During discussion Dr. Messinger and other staff described two new career-themed books on HVAC service and plumbing intended for third-grade career-unit use; staff offered copies for board review. The board approved grouped items 9.1 through 9.4 by voice vote with unanimous support.
The approvals were presented as part of the consent and action agenda; motions to group related items were made and seconded on the record and carried without objection. The board did not attach additional study directions to these approvals at the meeting.
