The New Richmond City Council awarded the main lift station pump replacement project to Crane Engineering for $234,692, after staff and the utility commission recommended accepting the low bid.
Staff said the project was included in the city’s 2025 capital improvement plan with an estimated cost of $250,000. The city received two bids; the combined base bid and alternate from Crane Engineering came in under the estimate. “The recommendation from staff and the utility commission would be to award the project to the low bidder Crane Engineering in the amount of $234,692,” a city staff member said.
A council member moved to approve the low bid and the council approved the award by roll call. Staff said the project would be completed in February 2025.
