Public works staff said three bids were received and recommended accepting the lowest complete bid from Guaranteed Roofing. A councilor noted an outlier bid of $219,000 among submissions; staff responded that the outlier appeared incorrect and that the procurement process had included a bid opening.
A staff member said insurance covered the larger hail-damage package and that this roof replacement is the final item remaining in that claims process. The council approved the ordinance authorizing the agreement on first and second readings; the clerk announced it became ordinance 07/1995 on passage.
