The Logan Redevelopment Agency (RDA) reported asset sales and modest liquidity during a May 2025 presentation to the council in which staff outlined recent property dispositions, current reserves and potential future project areas.
Kirk (RDA presenter) said two RDA-owned buildings were sold as a package in April, generating proceeds that improved the agency's fund position. The agency reported roughly $2.2 million in real-estate holdings and about $2.2 million in fund reserves in 2026 budget materials; staff described the result as modest liquidity rather than a flush balance.
Agency staff highlighted two active project areas that generate tax-increment revenues: the auto mall area and the South Main River project where Adams Wealth Advisors holds an approved design-review permit and where development would include river-edge path construction. Kirk said another parcel that is drawing interest is near 300 North Main Street; staff described potential redevelopment momentum but said there is not yet a specific proposal to present to the council.
Why it matters: RDA sales and holdings affect downtown redevelopment capacity and the agency's ability to partner on targeted projects; staff said the agency will continue to pursue where there is development interest and where tax increment can support public improvements.
Ending: staff said the RDA will continue to track opportunities and may bring project proposals forward once property assemblage or developer commitments firm up.
