The Jackson County Commission approved a contract on April 14 to replace the roof on the Public Works building, awarding the work to Integrity Roofing Solutions following review of two vendor quotes.
Staff presented two apples-to-apples bids for a 20-year TPO roof system and lobby metal-roof repairs. Integrity Roofing Solutions (Brainsville) quoted approximately $26,006.55 for the TPO system and lobby repairs; a local contractor (General Roofing) quoted approximately $36,900 for the TPO plus $1,500 for lobby repairs, for a higher total. Staff said both proposals used comparable materials and carried similar warranties. The commission’s recommendation was to accept Integrity’s lower bid on price and product comparability.
Commissioners discussed the scope—TPO system on the flat roof and repair/replacement of the standing-seam metal roof over the lobby—and confirmed the work includes addressing leaking areas and running roof drainage to the edge. The contract was approved and the county will proceed with scheduling the work with Integrity Roofing Solutions.
Ending: Staff will execute the contract with Integrity Roofing Solutions and schedule work to replace the TPO roof and repair the lobby metal roof; work includes warranty and product specifications per the accepted bid.
