Redevelopment fund tops $1.06 million as Main Street reports recent grant activity

“As of 05/05/2025, the balance for redevelopment is $1,062,889.62,” Miss Mears said during the financial report.
Miss Moore, speaking for Lawrenceburg Main Street, said the program approved three grants in April, denied one application that did not meet program requirements and paid out a small-business action grant. “In April, we approved 3 grants,” she said. Moore identified specific recent actions: a commercial/sign grant involving Premier Mortgage, an awning recovery on High Street for Carrie A. House, payout of a small-business action grant to Kate Bussey of Nourish Kitchen, and payout of two previously approved grants to Bill Bridal totaling $50,000 from 2023 and 2024.
Moore said an application from Justin Knopert for a non-owner-occupied residential grant is currently in process and that the program has exhausted sign-and-awning grant funds for the moment. She asked interested applicants to remain in contact with Main Street as more applicants are expected.
Commission members did not take new formal grant votes during this meeting; the Main Street representative summarized approvals and payouts that Main Street staff reported completing in April. The commission continued routine business after the report.
