Baseball coach Kyle Spurgeon described back‑to‑back playoff appearances and highlighted academic all‑district and potential academic all‑state student‑athletes. Coaches for boys and girls soccer, powerlifting, track and field and other sports highlighted district and state qualifiers, all‑district selections and individual accomplishments, including Brianna Davis (shot put) and Zaria Bernard (100 meters) among state qualifiers and school‑record holders presented by track coach Johnny Johnson.
Fine arts recognitions included choir solo and ensemble qualifiers, band UIL state solo/ensemble qualifiers and TMEA All‑State musicians; Jason Nitsch, Cassie Arrington and Justin Wood introduced numerous students who qualified for state contests or received regional awards. The theater and dance programs also received district honors and acknowledgments of technical theater achievements.
The Red Oak High School student council, represented by advisor Angela Thomas and student officers, reported about 171 members for the 2024–25 year; the council logged roughly 4,017 service hours, collected about $39,588.50 in goods and collected 77 blood units at the May blood drive (about 300 units for the school year across drives). Thomas and student officers described awards including the National Gold Council of Excellence and individual adviser awards, and previewed summer leadership and planned projects for 2025–26.
All recognitions were presented as ceremonial agenda items; no board votes were required.
