Board approves administrative salary increases for 2025–26 school year

The Papillion-La Vista Board of Education approved May 12 the administrative salary and benefits package for the 2025–26 school year. The motion, made in open session and carried by roll-call vote, set a certified-administrator base salary of $74,290 and an average package increase of 4.035 percent for certified administrators; assistant superintendents will receive a 3.8 percent package increase.
Dr. Settles, presenting on behalf of human resources, said there were no changes to the proposal since it was presented at the prior meeting and that the package allows for both vertical and horizontal steps for certified administrators. The recommendation reflected subcommittee input and full human-resources review.
Board member Mr. Lotus moved the motion and Mr. Madler seconded. During discussion trustees asked about the impact on budgets and whether the package had been modified; Dr. Settles said the plan was consistent with the prior presentation and subcommittee work. The roll-call vote approved the proposal as presented.
