Mount Pleasant trustees adopt 'Mount Pleasant 2030' strategic plan by unanimous vote

The Village of Mount Pleasant Board of Trustees on May 12 unanimously approved Resolution 8-2025 adopting the Mount Pleasant 2030 strategic plan, a multi-year planning document developed over more than a year with workshops involving trustees and staff.

A trustee moved to adopt the resolution and another trustee seconded; a roll-call vote recorded Aye from Ventrini, Anastasio, Karis, Doxey, Bhatia, Washburn and De Groot, and the chair announced the motion carried. Trustees said the plan includes measurable outcomes where possible and will guide the village’s work over the next five years.

Several trustees praised the plan as a culmination of “over a year’s worth of work” and said it aligns with the village’s mission and vision. One trustee recommended posting the plan on the village website; meeting comments indicate the communications staff are preparing that rollout.
