LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock City Council on May 13 conducted a public hearing and approved the first reading of an ordinance to annex about 121.8 acres adjacent to the city’s southwestern limits, south of 130th Street (Loop 88) and west of Milwaukee Avenue.
Kristin Seager, who summarized the proposal for council, said the council had previously approved an annexation agreement and that, if the first reading passed, staff would bring a second reading at the council’s next meeting. “This is the public hearing and first ordinance reading for a proposed annexation of 121 acres located South of A Hundred And Thirtieth West Of Milwaukee Avenue,” Seager said.
