So canal maintenance is gonna go with the construction inspector… we have 1 currently so it'd be up to 2 and then a maintenance field maintenance worker 1 and field maintenance 2.” Committee members voiced support; Chair Matthew Ferrara said, “We agree,” and the committee recorded a verbal consensus to proceed. No formal roll call vote was recorded on the hiring during the meeting; the hiring will proceed through the city's normal human resources and budget procedures.
Members asked only clarifying questions about immediate staffing deployment; staff indicated the new positions will be posted and filled according to standard city hiring practices.
