SUGAR LAND, Texas — The City of Sugar Land Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a site development permit May 13 permitting a deviation from the HR‑1 Hill Area residential districtmaximum building-width requirement for the property at 3 Cleveland Drive.
The permit process, added to the HR‑1 regulations in a 2021 amendment to the citydevelopment code, lets the commission allow exceptions when proposed work is "in character with the existing neighborhood," planning staff said.
