Lewis County approves 911 joint governance ILA and radio communications support for Chehalis Public Works

Lewis County commissioners on Tuesday approved an interlocal agreement establishing joint governance for the county's 911 system and an accompanying agreement to support radio communications equipment for local public-works operations.
County manager Ryan Barrett presented Resolution 25-139, which authorizes an interlocal agreement between Lewis County and regional public-safety partners to operate, maintain and participate in a Lewis County 911 joint governance board. Barrett thanked Jen Levy Jones for her work on the agreement.
"This approves an interlocal agreement between Lewis County and our regional public safety partners for the operation, maintenance, and participation in Lewis County 911 joint governance board format," Barrett said.
A related resolution authorizes an interlocal agreement to provide radio communications equipment and system support within the 911 system and to provide radio infrastructure services for the City of Chehalis Public Works Department. "This resolution authorizes an ILA for support of radio communications equipment and systems within the 911 system and the City of Chehalis Public Works Department as well," a presenter said, adding that the agreement provides radio infrastructure services for the city's public works department.
Both items were included in the set of deliberation items (Resolutions 25-135 through 25-140) that the board moved, seconded and approved during the meeting.
