Board amends shared-services agreement to extend interim treasurer coverage through July

The Maple Heights Board of Education voted to approve an amendment to the shared-services agreement with the Education Service Center of Northeast Ohio (ECS NEO) so that Ryan Pendleton will provide interim treasurer services from July 1 through July 31, 2025.
Board members asked why the amendment was needed; the superintendent explained the original contract ran through June 30 and the district's incoming treasurer (referred to as Connie) is slated to begin August 1, leaving July without coverage. A board member asked whether the monthly price had changed; the superintendent said the cost is the same monthly rate as the original contract.
A motion to approve the amendment passed unanimously on roll call with Miss Shepherd, Miss Cheeks, Miss Moore and Mister Blackwell recorded as voting yes.
