Board approves day-treatment purchase agreement with ASG Education Services for outplaced students

The Maple Heights Board of Education voted unanimously on May 12 to approve a day-treatment purchase-of-service agreement with ASG Education Services Incorporated to provide education for students placed in the LEAP program for the 2025–26 school year.
Board President Blackwell presented the agreement as part of new-business contracts. A board member asked for clarification about the program; the superintendent explained that the contract covers "outplaced students, our students who need special education services above and beyond what we can offer here," and that the district annually reviews rates and contracts.
After discussion, a motion to approve the agreement passed on a roll-call vote with all members recorded as voting yes: Miss Shepherd, Miss Cheeks, Miss Moore and Mister Blackwell.
No amendments to the contract were recorded during the meeting. The superintendent said the LEAP program has been used in past years for students whose individualized education program (IEP) requires outplacement.
