The Montgomery City Council approved multiple development and infrastructure items Tuesday, including plan approvals for subdivision phases and the release of a maintenance bond for a traffic-signal project.
Council accepted the final plans for Legacy Growth Section 1 and the Broadway Phase 1B water, sanitary, drainage and paving (WSDP) plans as presented. Council also voted to end the maintenance period and release the contractor’s maintenance bond for the Buffalo Springs signal improvements project, a standard step after staff confirmed the work met requirements.
During discussion staff and council addressed technical details: map views showed multiple detention ponds adjoining neighboring developments, and council members asked about emergency vehicle access and how the phases of the larger development would be sequenced. The Broadway phase approval covers sections 4, 5 and 6 of Phase 1B; further sections were described as expected in later filings.
Motions to approve the items were made, seconded and carried by voice vote; the transcript records no roll-call tallies for these approvals. Staff will file final plan documents and close out the maintenance bond per standard procedure.
