Deputy Mayor Ellis thanked the police chief and officers for visible patrols and said that increased presence has helped reduce reckless driving and accidents during daytime hours. Committee members discussed outreach to driver-education programs in schools to encourage safer driving among teens.
Committee member Mark (surname not specified in the record) said a group from Stockton University’s SAVE program will participate in the April 5 cleanup at the Nature Reserve and that the township is considering an observation deck near the lake; he said he will work with the administration on the project.
