Wendy Trebek, a staff member, told the ARB at its May 13 meeting in Decatur City that emergency medical services met most response-time standards in April and transported 1,129 patients.
The monthly report breaks down performance by call severity and by area — city limits versus "PJ" — and is used to track ambulance response and operational performance.
For echo, delta and bravo calls inside the city limits, Trebek reported 335 calls with 300 met within the 9-minute response-time standard, a 90% compliance rate. In the PJ there were 30 echo/delta/bravo calls; 28 were met within the 13-minute standard, a 93% compliance rate.
Trebek said there were 319 Charlie alpha and omega calls in the city limits; 312 were met within the 20-minute standard, a 98% rate. In the PJ there were 24 Charlie alpha/omega calls, 23 of which met the 30-minute standard, a 96% rate.
She reported no calls were rolled to outside services during April and that three calls were rolled to the local service. The system received 1,406 requests for service in April and transported 1,129 patients. Trebek said there were three time exceptions reported for the month and that one of those exceptions was approved.
No formal motions, votes or directives were recorded during the report, and Trebek invited questions at the end of her presentation.
