Staff recommended awarding the contract to Federal EC as the responsive, responsible low bidder and requested a standard 10% contingency allocation ($42,405) for unforeseen circumstances. The packet noted Federal EC has completed multiple projects for the city in prior years.
Mayor Kurt Wilson moved the award, Council member Northland seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Staff and council did not raise substantive questions during the committee discussion; the contract will proceed under the city procurement rules.
