Chris (staff member) and Sherry Stanchuk, the district’s early learning principal, presented the contract updates at the Ed Services committee and to the full board. Chris described the evaluation change as a shift “to closely mirror what our traditional schools are doing in terms of evaluation.” He said the 2.5% increase equates to roughly a $0.50 per student per day rise, moving compensation under the contract to $20.52 per student per day.
Board members asked questions and then moved to approve the revisions. The motion passed by voice vote; no roll‑call tally was recorded.
Administrators said the modest rate increase and the evaluation changes were the only substantive edits to the contract this year and that principals will receive building‑level reports to support planning for continuous improvement.
