Missoula Parking Commission to move meetings to council chambers; MCAT to provide live stream and closed captioning

The Missoula Parking Commission will shift future meetings to the city council chambers and use MCAT for live streaming and closed captioning, staff told the commission.
Jody Pilgrim, director of the Missoula Parking Commission, said MCAT will provide a live stream that allows people to watch meetings without joining the Teams meeting and will deliver closed captioning and a guarantee that recordings will be available by the end of the day. Pilgrim said the change addresses past failures of recordings and improves access and audio/video quality.
Board members and staff noted the council chambers provide better sound, camera quality and more public seating. Pilgrim said the commission’s future meetings will be held in the larger council chambers rather than the smaller meeting room used previously.
