Wasilla council delays vote on $21 million FY2026 capital budget to May 1

The Wasilla City Council on April 28 moved to postpone a final vote on ordinance serial number 2525, the proposed fiscal year 2026 budget, until the councils next scheduled meeting on May 1 after a committee-of-the-whole review of capital projects.

Council member Graham moved to postpone the ordinance and Council member Rubio seconded; there was no objection and the postponement carried without a roll-call vote. The council had first entered committee of the whole to discuss the budget after a public hearing produced no public testimony on the ordinance.
