The Mount Holly City Council approved a text amendment (case TA253) to update the city subdivision ordinance's process for receiving as-built sewer and water plans after development is completed.
Staff described the item as a modernization and cleanup of outdated references in the ordinance, including contemporary file types and submission expectations. "This would modernize this section and just underlin[e] the file types that we need, because the ordinance is very much outdated references, you know, CDs, etcetera," Staff member Lowe said, explaining the change is primarily administrative.
The Planning Commission had recommended approval and staff recommended approval at the council meeting. The council opened a public hearing; no members of the public signed up to speak. Council member Brian Huff made a motion for approval, seconded by Council member Reeves; the motion passed unanimously.
The amendment updates administrative submittal requirements for as-built plans; staff did not provide a specific effective date or the new file-type list in the council meeting and offered to answer follow-up questions.
