The Union Public Schools Board approved three separate bond‑funded software and licensing agreements covering family communication, student survey analytics and core Microsoft licensing.
The board approved a two‑year renewal for TalkingPoints for $153,300, which district staff said is the district’s translated messaging platform used by teachers, parents and attendance clerks and includes a new attendance feature. The district described TalkingPoints as its preferred translation and direct messaging service.
The board also approved Panorama Education subscriptions for $274,651.60 to integrate demographic, attendance, behavior, grades and multiple well‑being and hope surveys districtwide. Staff said ongoing Panorama use will expand surveys to grades 3–12 and the district reported its highest “hope” metrics over three years.
Separately, the board approved $162,323.95 for Microsoft 365 licenses through Dantec LLC to maintain the district’s Microsoft infrastructure, OneDrive and related services. Staff noted the current price is substantially lower than prior cycles and that the vendor had confirmed the lower figure multiple times.
All three motions passed with unanimous recorded votes; each purchase will be executed under standard procurement procedures.
