Summary
Board approved certified and noncertified hires for 2025–26, several transfers, resignations, one retirement, and multiple donations to Newberg and Booneville schools during routine business.
The Warrick County School Corporation Board of Trustees approved a slate of personnel recommendations and donations at its May 13 meeting.
Doctor Gresham presented certified hires for the 2025–26 school year that the board approved, including new classroom teachers, special education staff and school administrators. The board also approved noncertified hires, reported transfers and accepted resignations and at least one retirement listed in the packet.
The board approved several donations, including $4,732.59 from the Newburgh High School Alumni Association for Newberg Elementary and another $9,263 from the same alumni association (split out for accounting reasons) to benefit Newberg Elementary, a $600 donation from Kilometers Specialty Pumps and Systems to Newberg Elementary to purchase a Riding Revolution 2, and a $500 donation to Booneville High School from the Red Cross High School scholarship program.
Motions to approve the personnel items and donations were moved and seconded; voice votes were called and the motions carried. The board also approved minutes from its April 28 meeting; district staff noted the financial-software outage had delayed docket approvals and that the docket will be moved to next week’s meeting.
Approved certified hires listed by the human resources office included teachers at Castle High and several elementary and middle schools; noncertified hires included cafeteria and program assistants, custodial and supervisory positions. Resignations and one listed retirement (Rebecca Schnurr, science teacher at Boonville High School, retirement effective June 1, 2025) were accepted as presented.
No contested personnel actions or public objections were recorded during the vote; the approvals were handled during routine business without extended debate.
