Clerk/Treasurer John told council that the foundation had provided $2,250 for officer training; $750 of that sum had not been appropriated in the 2025 budget and the ordinance appropriates that remaining amount so the second officer can use the funds this year.
Council moved to suspend the rules and adopt the appropriation emergency to ensure the training funds are available. Members voted unanimously to approve the appropriation.
