Committee recommends floor consideration for bill requiring owner verification on certain marijuana and psilocybin licenses

Committee staff summarized the measure and said, "Senate Bill 907A requires applications for psilocybin manufacturer licenses, medical marijuana processor license, medical marijuana grow sites, and marijuana processing sites to include the legal address and owner of the premises, requires OHA and OLCC to verify the information. If the owner is not the applicant, the overseeing agency must inform the owner and receive their notarized written signature that the annual licensure terms." The staff summary said the bill becomes operative Jan. 1, 2026, takes effect 90 days after adjournment sine die, and has minimal fiscal and revenue impact.

The roll call recorded Aye votes from Representative Bitely, Representative Scarlottos, Representative Watanabe, Representative Yonker, Vice Chair Isidore and Chair Winn; Representatives Dobson, Representative Osborne and Vice Chair Deal were recorded as excused. Chair Winn said, "Yes. Motion passes." The committee closed the work session on SB 907A and made routine announcements about upcoming meeting cancellations.
