4‑H assistant introduced; county IT alert warns of phishing emails

At the start of public comment during the Tippecanoe County Council meeting on May 13, a county representative introduced Dylan Harmon as the new 4‑H program assistant.
Dylan Harmon addressed the council briefly: “Hi, everyone. I'm really excited to be working with all of you.”
Later in public comment Kent (identified in the transcript only by first name) warned the council about a phishing email campaign. Kent said: “Most of you have seen my email by now that the state has been compromised. It it's actually probably not the state, but the email service that they use to deliver email. So if you get any kind of email from the state saying you owe money, don't click on the link. Just delete it. As with everything else, if it looks suspicious, just delete it.”
Both remarks were made during the public-comment portion of the meeting; no formal council action followed.
