Committee advances bill ending PUC biennial report on volumetric pilot

The bill would remove the requirement that the Public Utility Commission provide a biennial report to the legislative assembly on the volumetric incentive rates pilot program. Chair Karen Lively said there was "a minimal fiscal impact, no revenue impact to the bill, no amendment, and no subsequent referral." Vice Chair Gamba moved the bill to the floor with a do-pass recommendation.
Committee members called the roll for final passage; Representative Edwards, Representative Brown, Representative Emerson Williams, Representative Osborne, Representative Owens, Vice Chair Gamba, Vice Chair Bobby Levy and Chair Lively recorded votes in favor. Representative Marsh and Representative Wallace were excused. The motion passed and the committee asked for a carrier for the bill.
The action sends SB 843 to the House floor for further consideration; committee members did not discuss amendments or further changes during the work session.
The committee then closed the work session and moved to other agenda items.
