Hudson district reports steady enrollment; board warned of a crowded Prairie fourth-grade and many boundary-exception requests

Hudson — District staff presented the board with updated enrollment projections for the 2025–26 school year and warned that at least one elementary grade is above class-size guidelines pending boundary-exception processing.

Andrea, who presented the enrollment update, said the elementary projection showed “Hudson Prairie fourth grade where it's 28” and the document marked that class in red. She told the board she anticipated boundary-exception requests would be processed in the coming week and that the kindergarten and 4K counts would rise as registrations and placements complete over the summer.
