Mister Turner, a city staff member, described the project as a replacement of cast-iron waterline on Interstate Drive and told the council that the city received five bids and that Maybel Construction submitted the low conforming bid of $1,589,375.
Vice Mayor Eldridge moved to award the contract; the motion was seconded by Councilman Bocce and carried on a 5-0 vote.
