Putnam County commissioners approved several budget revisions and payment orders during their May 13 meeting, including a reallocation in the EMS budget that reduced full-time wages and increased multiple operating lines.
A finance staff presenter described the first revision for Apartment 439 planning: increase part-time wages by $8,000 and decrease full-time wages by $8,000, with minor vehicle maintenance line-item adjustments. The larger change was in department 715 (EMS), which the presenter said would decrease full-time salaries by $115,000 and reallocate funds to contracted services ($30,000), travel ($2,000), uniforms ($15,000), printing ($5,000), maintenance and repair for buildings and grounds ($20,000), supplies and materials ($10,000), and medical supplies ($33,000). The commission approved those transfers by voice votes.
Other approved revisions included a $2,800 reallocation in the garage department and several payment orders: $3,500 from the general county fund to West Banko for trustee fees (invoice 8252); $2,494 and $54 from the dog fund for veterinary services in April and May 2025; a TIF fund payment of $50,927.37 to West Banko Bank Incorporated (trustee) for April 2025 TIF revenue; a $14,982.26 payment from the 911 fund to InDigital for call-handling support and maintenance; $250 from the water and sewer fund to Terradon Corporation for a preliminary engineering report for the River Ridge water line extension; and a $5,436 payment from the Putnam County Network Fund to Arthur Krenzel Lehi Insurance Group for a railroad protective liability policy for the Putnam County Fiber Project.
Each item was presented and approved in sequence; motions and seconds were made and approved by voice vote. The commission also approved miscellaneous payment orders and adjourned after final motions.
