Rossford City Council voted May 12 to extend the city’s agreement with the Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau, returning to the contract terms in place the prior year.
Caroline (speaker) reported that the Convention and Visitors Bureau met last week and that the extension “is the contract we had with them last year.” Council members and city staff confirmed that the earlier edits were discarded and the contract reverts to the previously used document. Council also noted the contract remains terminable on 30-days’ notice; in the meeting record Lisonbee confirmed that the prior arrangement was a one-year deal but allows termination with 30-day notice.
Council moved to suspend further readings, declared the ordinance an emergency and adopted it the same night after no audience members objected. The transcript does not include the dollar amount of the contract or specific performance obligations contained in the agreement.
