The board approved renewing existing snow‑removal contracts and authorized issuing a custodial services request for proposals for the 2025–26 school year.
District staff reported the current parking‑lot and sidewalk contractors have contract renewal options at the same price for one additional year. After questions about contractor performance and equipment capabilities, trustees agreed to renew the contracts to ensure reliable service through the next winter and to re‑evaluate the procurement next year.
Administration also asked the board to authorize an RFP for custodial services for 2025–26 because current contractor arrangements expire in June and district recruitment for in‑house custodial hires has produced little interest. A trustee moved to publish the custodial services bid; a second was recorded and the board voted to put the contract out to bid. Staff said custodial positions remain posted and the district will evaluate responses to the RFP alongside any in‑district candidates.
